Dorothy Lucille Coyle Wood, 95, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Gulfside Hospice.
Born on July 14, 1930, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Dorothy was a high school graduate and a lifelong housewife, mother, and companion. She came from a large family of 12 children, including three brothers and eight sisters.
Dorothy had a keen eye for collectibles, including Disney figurines, Barbies, and Snowbabies. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, ceramics, and knitting. Known for her attention to detail, she always added unique embellishments to her work. Most of all, Dorothy loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many others she cared for over the years. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Wood, Sr. She is survived by her children: Walter William Wood, Jr. (Bud), Elizabeth Ann Enselein (Betty), and Judith Marie Pattison (Judy); her four grandchildren: Michael, Timothy, Jay, and Julia; and her great-grandchild, Colton
