On behalf of the Simpson's family of Boston MA, we would like to extend our deepest regret and sympathy on the passing of a dear friend, Doris Sinckler. Time and words would not permit what Doris meant to us but we have precious memories that will linger for a lifetime. It almost seems like an injustice for us not to be able to attend her funeral but that's due to uncontrollable circumstances at this time.
Doris lived with us for a good number of years here in Boston; not only that but we attended the same Christian Mission church in Barbados, she was our Sunday School teacher at one time, she would bring her dinner to church but she always brought enough to serve an army; split pea rice and corn beef never tasted so good. Doris also sang alto in the choir back home. No matter where she lived she drew people to her, she had many friends, was a giver and a hard working person. Not forgetting she was a person of fine character, and of course when she laughed it would wake up the dead. We were blessed to visit with her twice in Florida, once at her niece's home, and when we visited her at the nursing home. Even though her memory was limited, she was able to sing along and pray with us. Gwendolyn, Esther, Joan, Noel, Merlene, Celia and so many others will miss you continuously. We traveled, ate, cooked, cried, and boy did we ever laughed together, and I'm so glad that we did what we did when we did.
