Donna Green's Obituary
Donna Green (78) of Trinity, Florida, formally of York Beach, Maine passed away on March 23, 2026, at Gulfside Hospice, New Port Richey, Florida.
Donna was born on December 26,1947 in Boston, Massachusetts to Alice J. White and Donald F. Green.
She attended Somerville & Everett MA High Schools, graduating from Everett in 1965. She later attended Northeastern University and the University of Arizona, where her field of study was Information Technology.
After a six-year relationship, she married John A. Basile on November 24,2000 and together shared over 30 years of marriage and love.
Donna worked and retired after 30 years as a Lead Configuration Manager for US Department of Defense contractors. She was well known for her dedication to our country. During her tenure as a Configuration Manager, she taught and trained many and co-authored CM manuals. She voluntarily deployed to Quatar during the Winter of 2022 for Operation Iraqi Freedom which led to the toppling of Saddam Hussein’s regime.
In her free time Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed owning and operating a 2nd-hand children’s store in York, Maine with her granddaughter Jessica. They donated the majority of their profits to assist local children with autism.
Donna is survived by her sisters Kathy Harrison, Dawn Jacobs (& husband Ron), brothers James (&wife Connie), John (&wife Kathy) and Paul (&wife Patricia), and lifelong friend Patricia Pisapia. Her children, William R. Dunn Jr. Susan Dunn, Bridget Devine (& husband Mike), Darin Basile, Ted Basile(&wife Joanne), Amy Basile (&husband William McCracken), Her Grandchildren, Jessica Lee(&husband Jeffrey, Amanda Lakeman(& husband Matt), Nicholas Kerger, Ashley Dunn, Amber Mae Charette(&husband Kory), Mark Ciulla(&wife Chelsea, Jack & Sam Basile, Charlie & Nori McCracken and Billy L. Dunn. Her great-grandchildren, Cohen, Sawyer, Logan & August Lee, Rylee & Avery Lakeman, James, Jackson and Jayson Kerger, Lincoln & Jackson Ciulla. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Alice J. White & Donald F. Green, her stepfather Paul Kuhns, stepbrothers David & Ronald Kuhns and brother-in-law Paul Harrison.
Arrangements for services and a Celebration of Life will be made later.
Memorial donations may be made to Gulfside Hospice of New Port Richey, or Waypoint of Sanford, Maine, a non-profit for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
