Donald Raymond Cadwallader's Obituary
Donald Raymond Cadwallader, of Trinity, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 96. He was born on April 19, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, to Raymond Cadwallader and Eva Tyce.
While living in Akron, Don pursued his undergraduate education with a strong dedication to his studies, and upon graduating from high school, he attended Baldwin Wallace University. There, he studied finance and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit led him to a long and successful career as an accountant and later a business owner, spending 75 years as a business professional. Among one of his proudest accomplishments was starting a successful printing company at the age of 52, with his wife and son—a milestone that embodied his drive, creativity, and business expertise.
On November 21, 1951, Don married the love of his life, Marjorie Irene Weber. Together they shared 61 years of marriage, and in 1961 they welcomed their only child, a son, Theodore Raymond, to the family. Their home was centered on a strong devotion to family, friends, and their Christian faith.
Don lived a life enriched by his passions. He was an avid sailor and a devoted lover of opera and classical music. He loved reading historical war novels, collecting art and found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, including his grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Ted (Meredith) Cadwallader; his three granddaughters, Olivia (Matthew) Ankrom, Sierra (Cullen) Stryjewski, and Audrey Cadwallader; and his two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Marcia Adams, Mary Lou Sellars and Sis VanOosten.
Don is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie Cadwallader; his grandson, Austin Ray Cadwallader; and his brother, Richard Cadwallader.
A private funeral service will be held on March 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, officiated by Pastor Timothy Miller. He will later be laid to rest at Trinity Memorial Gardens Mausoleum next to his wife Majorie.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to all who cared for Don, including the compassionate support provided by his family members, his friend Laura and all of his caregivers
