“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
– Matthew 5:4
Dear Mae and Lloyd:
I offer my deepest sympathies to you both for the loss of your husband/father, Dismas. Although I have not seen or talked to Dismas in many years but he was always a kind, humorous and ever so loving soul. I often recollect the times he called me “young fella” or he would start singing a familiar tune which was sung rather well and inspired everyone. I remember the time he shook his head and laughed in disbelief when Lloyd told him I attempted to drive up the steep driveway at your Middlebury home with my Honda Civic in third gear. He never held that against me as he was always a positive and astute religious individual with tremendous faith which always left me with a sincere impression. I remember the time we all laughed when we mentioned that back in the days when Jesus physically walked the earth the Transfiguration of Jesus included, Moses, Elijah and Dismas. Well today I say that Dismas is standing hand in hand with Jesus. God bless and please take care of yourselves. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
