Diane Caraynoff's Obituary
Diane Marie Caraynoff, age 75, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Menands, New York, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at A Country Place Assisted Living Facility in Tampa, Florida.
Diane was born on October 11, 1950, in Cohoes, New York, to Virginia and Harvey Roy. On May 1, 1977, she married Simeon Caraynoff, and together they shared 26 loving years of marriage.
Diane dedicated 20 years of service as a Protocol Officer and Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, New York. She was a devoted Catholic and an active member of her church community where she faithfully volunteered in many roles that included church secretary, member of the Council of Catholic Women, organizer of the church fair and Second Hand Rose, and as a Eucharistic Minister bringing Holy Communion to the sick and hospitals in Spring Hill. She was also deeply involved in the community and served for many years as a board member and secretary of West Hernando Little League.
Diane is survived by her beloved sons, Gregory and his wife Kathryn of Odessa, Florida, and Christopher of Apple Valley, Minnesota, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Carter, Kathryn, and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simeon.
A memorial service will be held on May 7, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow on May 8, 2026, at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A Country Place Assisted Living Facility in Tampa, Florida.
