Diana "Didy" Sabina, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2023, leaving a mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Julian (Willie) Sabina, and her sister Myriam Ferreira Chevres, Diana's legacy lives on through her loving children: William, Julian, Frances, and Manny. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren Brie, Julianna, Jake, James III, Isabelle, Julian Jr, Aimee, and Casey and her great grandchildren Aria, Emily, and Hazel
Born on April 8, 1945, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to Enrique and Fredesvinda Ferreira, Diana pursued her passion for helping others by earning a pharmacy degree from The University of Puerto Rico. For two decades, she dedicated her professional life as a supervisor and pharmacist at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Diana, affectionately known as "Abuela," was the matriarch of the family, her personality seamlessly blended fun-loving with wisdom. An avid reader and astute problem-solver, she loved spending time at the beach, reveled in the pleasures of learning, and treasured time with her family and friends.
For the past twelve years, Diana valiantly battled cancer, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience. Her absence will be deeply felt by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with this remarkable woman.
A celebration of Diana's life will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, located at 12609 Memorial Dr, Trinity, FL 34655, on December 29, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Let us join together to honor and remember a life well-lived, a legacy of love, and the enduring impact of Diana "Didy" Sabina.
