Dennis James Prudot's Obituary
Dennis James Prudot, age 49, went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2019. Dennis was born May 4, 1970 in Tampa, Florida to James and Maureen Prudot.
Dennis will be remembered by those who knew him and loved him and by those whom he had only recently met, as a kind, caring, and compassionate man who always shared words of encouragement and support. Dennis was a joyful soul who was an inspiration to everyone.
Dennis was the kind of son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend that we all were privileged to have had in our lives and he will live forever in our hearts.
Dennis was an avid sports fan who had a unique ability to retain and recall facts about any sports players, teams, and management. Dennis watched all sports, but had a love for his Rays, Buccaneers and Gators.
Dennis was an animal lover, often taking in animals that others could no longer care for, providing them with a kind and loving home. He cared deeply for his animals and was heartbroken each time he lost one of his many cats and dogs throughout the years. At the time of his death, Dennis had 4 cats and 1 dog.
Dennis volunteered his time caring for US Military Veterans at Baldomero Lopez VA Nursing home. The Veterans, family members, and staff at Baldomero were always uplifted by his presence and kindness. Dennis gave so freely of himself and his time even when he wasn’t feeling well, he volunteered up until 2 weeks before his death.
Dennis was a strong man of faith and is most certainly rejoicing in heaven with his Father, James; Grandfather, John; Great Uncle, Jim; and all of his family members who preceded him into the gates of heaven.
Dennis is survived by his Mother, Maureen Prudot; sisters, Laura (Manny) Gonzalez, Elizabeth (Benny) Aplin; nieces, Destiny Aplin and Julia Pitcher; nephews, Eric Pitcher, Aaron Aplin, Nigel Pitcher, Tyler Pitcher, and Austin Aplin; great nieces, Isabella and Emma; great nephew, Kingston; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services for Dennis will be held @ Trinity Memorial Gardens on Saturday November 2nd @ 1pm.
We ask family and friends to avoid wearing black and please join us in wearing either Red, White, and Blue (Dennis was very patriotic), Blue (Dennis had beautiful blue eyes), or anything Disney (Dennis loved everything Disney).
