When I first moved to Pasco County Florida and got a job shortly thereafter in 2006, Denny Donovan was the first guy to call me up and introduce himself to me. Apparently, he saw my background at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in Occupational Safety in the American Society of Safety Engineers Tampa roll call. He wanted to share some stories about UW-Whitewater professors that we both knew. We had some good laughs and we think Denny from time to time and hope that wherever he is he is at peace.

I am a UW-Whitewater grad myself and got to know Denny through the local A.S.S.E. chapter. He had a heart of gold and it saddened me enormously when he confided in me that he was surviving the years of 2010 and on through Social Security and one of his relatives. here was a guy with a Masters in Safety who knew some of the same teachers in his Masters program that I knew in my bachelors in Occupational Safety. Denny was well known and liked in his neighborhood ASSE chapter and I remember attending one session where they honored him. We will miss you Denny.
