Curtis Dean Johnson's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Curtis Johnson, 63, who is now present with the Lord. Curtis was born and raised in Minnesota and spent the last 20 years in Florida.
Music was one of his greatest joys, especially old-school rock. He loved to play the drums and is no doubt continuing to, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" (Psalm 100:1). Curtis enjoyed watching and playing golf, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and making excellent (terrible) dad jokes. You could often find Curtis relaxing at the beach, by the pool, grilling, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Chris Johnson. He is survived by his parents, Joyce and Duane Johnson; his sons, Ryan Johnson (Rachel Johnson), Nick Johnson and their mother Sandra Slobbe; his grandchildren, Ford and Reid Johnson; and his siblings, nieces, and nephew.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to his partner, Cherryle Wrightsman. For loving Curtis and standing by his side during his last most difficult years.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at the Trinity Memorial Funeral Home.
