Cortland Michael Santos' Obituary
Cortland Michael Santos, affectionately known as “Cort”, was born on May 15, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the 2nd child welcomed into the union of Sabrina Kelsey Richmond and Herman Santos. He attended and was educated at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses as a child. He was also educated in the Missouri and Florida school system and graduated from Sunlake High School in Land O’Lakes, Florida in 2011.
Cortland married his loving wife Angelica Nieves in 2014. From their union came their adorable sons, Jeremiah and Michael. He took college courses and was a real estate agent who loved playing basketball, video games, driving his car and most importantly being around his family and close friends.
After a vigilant battle with illness, Cortland passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Williams, step-grandfather, Virgil Williams and his uncle, Jeffrey Franklin. He is survived by his wife, Angelica and two sons, Jeremiah and Michael who love and miss him greatly. Cortland is loved and remembered by his father, Herman Santos II (wife Sharon), mother, Sabrina Kelsey Richmond (husband Lee), older brother, Joshua Santos, younger sister, Jordan Santos, step brothers, Adrian Edwards, DaShawn Richmond, Lee Richmond III (Trey), step sisters, Alexis Peters, Leia Richmond, grandparents, Jerome Kelsey, Bobbie Kelsey, and Herman Santos, Jr. Also keeping close the loving memory of Cortland are his aunts, Liz Santos, Renee Gordon, Montez Alford, Alexis Harkless-Keely, uncles Thadd Kelsey, Alex Kelsey, Norvell Harkless-Keely, several cousins, nieces and nephews, father and mother-in-law, Angel and Lizbelle Nieves, brother-in-law, Angel Nieves. There is also the extended families of the Travis, Kelsey, Nieves, Williams, and Figueroas who loved him very much.
Revelation 21:4 – “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
