Christopher Michael Empric's Obituary
Christopher Michael Empric, 43, passed away on December 1st in Tampa, FL while awaiting a liver transplant.
Son of Thomas and Dana Empric, he was born in Ypsilanti, MI, joining older brother, Brian, and sister, Jennifer, to complete their tight-knit family of five. He graduated from Wharton High School before attending the University of Florida and Saint Leo University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration with a focus in hospitality. He worked as a recruiter for K-Force and then as a senior sales consultant at Southern Wine and Spirits out of Tampa.
For those closest to Chris, his love for his children, Grace (9), Christian (7), and Thomas (4), was his most defining characteristic. A devoted father, Chris cherished every second spent with them, whether on a sports field or simply snuggling on the couch at home.
For all those who knew and loved Chris, this loss is unimaginable. His warm smile, boisterous laugh, and kind heart were the foundation of countless decades-long friendships and fond memories.
These memories included Chris’ love of sports - rooting on the Buffalo Bills, the Gators, and the Buccaneers with passion. A love of golf, fostered from a young age, honed at Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, led to many adventures with family and friends. Playing rounds at Pebble Beach, Harbour Town, Pinehurst, and Sawgrass, Chris’ antics and achievements on the links are well documented. To have a conversation with Chris undoubtedly involved reciting lines from his favorite movies, and good-hearted pranks would abound whenever Chris was with his eight nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded to heaven by his dad, Tom, and he was deeply connected to his mom, Dana, as her “emotional support” following this loss.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you support Grace, Christian, and Thomas’ future college educations through a GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/0cca4b59f
A celebration of life will be held on 17 January at 1200 at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Tampa, FL, followed by a reception at 1600 at Estancia at Wiregrass, 4000 Estancia Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL.
