Chandrakantbhai K. Patel's Obituary
We celebrate the life of Chandrakantbhai K. Patel, lovingly known as CK.
CK was a devoted husband to Kusumben, a loving father to Malini, Nilesh, Nirav, and Rajin, and a cherished father-in-law to Nimesh, Atusha, and Sonal. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kurran, Nikhil, Misha, Ayan, Shaan, Sahil, Saavan, Krishiv, and Kinnari, who were the greatest joy of his life.
A man of quiet strength and deep faith, CK lived with integrity, humility, and compassion. He was a steady guide and source of wisdom to his family, always offering thoughtful advice, fairness, and support.
After marrying Kusumben in 1967, CK moved to Zambia, where they raised their family. A civil engineer by profession, he was deeply proud of his work and often spoke with fondness of his Italian partners, a reflection of his belief in collaboration across cultures. His career knew no international bounds, as he helped build large-scale structures across Africa and the Middle East, many of which continue to stand today, quietly connecting countries and communities.
He was widely respected in Lusaka for both his work and his character, building lasting friendships and a meaningful legacy.
CK had a deep love for travel, and in 1977, he and Kusumben completed a three-month world tour, creating cherished memories that remained close to their hearts.
CK was deeply devoted to community service and served as Chairman of Charotar Patidar Samaj. The pinnacle of his service was organizing a month-long Silver Jubilee celebration of Charotar Patidar Samaj, along with numerous fetes and charitable fundraising efforts, all carried out with humility and dedication.
Above all, CK will be remembered for his kindness, calm presence, and the values he instilled in his children and grandchildren. Though he is no longer with us, his love, teachings, and memories will continue to guide us.
We are deeply grateful for the love and support of family, friends, and the community during this time.
