Cathy L. Junkins
June 24, 1951 – November 2, 2025
Cathy L. Junkins, 74, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on November 2, 2025, at BayCare Wesley Chapel Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to Alberta and John Vinson.
Cathy was a graduate of Merit Hutton High School, Class of 1969, and went on to earn her Associate’s Degree. On November 27, 1976, she married the love of her life, Craig Junkins, and together they shared almost 49 beautiful years of marriage.
Early in her life, she was a customer service manager for BeepAlert which eventually became Sprint. Her greatest joy though was being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and welcoming home, where love and laughter always filled the air. Her proudest achievement was the beautiful and loving family she and Craig built together.
Cathy’s hobbies reflected her kind and creative spirit, she loved golf, floral arrangement, and decorating. In addition, she loved to travel. Her favorite trips were the trips to Paris and the Inside Passage Cruise to Alaska. Those who knew her will remember her for her elegance, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, happiness and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Junkins; Son, James Junkins, Daughter, JoAnna Sherman, Daughter In Law, Deb Junkins and Grandchildren, Shannon Junkins and Matthew Junkins and Colette Bolin. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on November 10, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida, with Pastor Frederick Gray officiating. Internment will follow at the same location.
Cathy will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her, and her memory will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
