Catherine T Achatz.52. a loving wife and daughter, passed awav on Saturdav. August 12. 2023 after a brief illness.
She was born Catherine Gloria Escarrilla on June 11,1971 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines She attended St. Scholastica college in Bacolod City from primary level until High School.
Catherine attended college at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila where she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She moved to the US in August 1994 and worked as a physical therapist for Sunbelt Corporation for several years. She started working as a Physical therapist for Advanced Care Center in Clearwater Florida in 2001. She became the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy at the facility, a position she would remain in for over 20 years
She met Kurt Achatz through an online dating website in 2006. After four years of dating, they married on February 6, 2010 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor.
Kitty loved bears (both real and toy), shopping, singing, socializing with friends, traveling and trying out new restaurants.
Kitty was a life-long Catholic with a strong devotion to Jesus and Our Lady. Both she and Kurt are active members of the Bukas Loob Sa Diyos Catholic Covenant Community of Tampa.
Kitty had a true love for people which she expressed in her many friendships as well as her work as a Physical Therapist
Kitty is survived by her survived by her husband Kurt, her mother Didi, cousins, Lillibeth and Richard, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In honor of Kitty's memory, A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 26t at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated a few days after the Memorial Service.
