Brent Buriff's Obituary
Brent Gilbert Buriff (71), of Tampa, Florida, passed away on January 25th at his home in The Villages, Florida. Brent was born on June 17th, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to George and Ruth Buriff, which explains his love for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a proud alumnus of McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida, and remained friends with his high school buddies for over 50 years.
Brent and Debi married in June of 1976, had four children and six grandchildren, and were just short of 50 years of marriage, a testimony to their companionship and love.
A career in sales led the Buriff family to Tampa, Florida, where Brent was a beloved board member and coach at Northside Little League, a faithful patron of his favorite local establishments, and a proud season ticket holder for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After retiring as the Vice President of Sales, Brent and Debi moved to The Villages, Florida, where they reconnected with old friends and formed meaningful relationships with new ones.
He is survived by his wife, Debi; children, Jeff and Tricia; mother, Ruth; sisters, Barbie and Beverly; and grandchildren, Connor, JJ, Autumn, Addison, Christian, and Ephram. He was preceded in death by his father, George; brother Brad; children Michelle and Shane; and his best furry friend, Rocky Buriff, the family pet.
The Buriff family is inviting those who loved Brent to join them for a celebration for Brent, which will be held at The Chapel at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida, on Tuesday, February 10th. A visitation will begin at 10:30 am, with the service starting at 11:30 am, followed by a processional for burial.
