Billy J. York Sr., 93, of Odessa, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in New Port Richey, Florida. He was born on December 18, 1932, in Union County, North Carolina.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and unwavering care for his family. His love, guidance, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched on his journey through this life.
Bill was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. We are thankful for his service to our country.
He is survived by his children—Billy Jr. (Diane), Eric (Cheryl), Chris, Andy (Wendy), Lisa (Steve), and Tom (Angi). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 18 great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.
Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice, and his daughter, Jenafer Rogers.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 11:00 am on February 21, 2026, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, followed by military honors and a funeral service at 12:00 pm.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to those who cared for Bill with compassion and dedication: Carmen, Michen, Marie, Shericka, Michael, Tammy, Vivian, Ilia, Milagros, and Awilda.
Bill will be laid to rest with his wife, Alice, at Florida National Cemetery, a place of honor befitting his service and the love they shared throughout their lives.
