Betty Intemann's Obituary
Intemann, Betty Liles (Harrison) 86, of Trinity, Florida, passed away at home August 26, 2015; after suffering a stroke.
She was born March 10, 1929, in Dumont, New Jersey to Walter and Sophia Little. She received her Bachelors Degree from Davis and Elkins College, in Elkins, West Virginia; and her Masters Degree from West Virginia University.
Eventually settling in Tampa in 1964, she taught during the 1970s and 80s at the Lower Division of Berkeley Prep., and took great pride in the achievements of her students, even years after they passed through her classes.
Inspired by her father, she enjoyed a lifelong love of music. Over the years, she sang in the choirs of Hyde Park Presbyterian and Palma Ceia Presbyterian Churches, and enjoyed attending the Florida Orchestra.
She is survived by her sister Patricia Tabler (Jim) of Garner, N.C., daughters Becky Harrison Steele (Douglas McCown), Lisa Harrison Nehrig (Donald), son Glen Harrison, granddaughters Sydney Nehrig Kochmanski (Nick), Sarah Steele, Miranda Steele, Shannon Nehrig, stepdaughter H Linda Liles Rollyson (Mike), stepsons, James T Liles (Debra), Steve Intemann (Christine), Brad Intemann (Leslie), Rob Intemann, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and grand-nephews. She was loved, and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by husbands Col. Cecil N Liles (Ret.) in 1982, Edgar H Intemann Jr. in 2002; and her brother, Donald Little.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Gulfside Hospice, who helped us care for our mother in her final days. They provided caring emotional and medical support, during a most difficult time.
