I was a student at KPHS for 3 1/2 years before I dropped out. Mr. P was an excellent role model and godly man. Although at the time I was definitely living a worldly life. His lessons and mentorship stuck with me in adulthood. 2 years ago I was baptized and washed in the blood of Christ. KPHS wasn’t a Christian school, but Mr. P still shared his love for Jesus with me and it stuck. I was thinking about reaching out to him this summer, letting him know how life was. My mom informed me of his early passing. A man gone too early, but it seems god called him, and his time on earth was over. If there’s one thing he taught me that stuck, it’s “don’t poke the bear.” As a child it’s a bad and common habit, as an adult I eventually learned it the hard way. It easily ties into James 1:19-20 and Mr. P definitely lived up to it. Praise god many students had the opportunity to learn from him. I’m definitely going to miss you Mr. P
