Beatrice Spandonis' Obituary
Beatrice L. Spandonis, 92, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on July 25, 2024. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on May 12, 1932, to James P. and Marie Kesson. During her youth, she attended Newark Arts High School and the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. After graduating, she began her career as a fashion illustrator for a buying office, where she sketched merchandise that was available to stores in New York City. She moved to Roselle Park, New Jersey when she married her husband Burton G. Spandonis in 1969. The couple moved to Trinity, Florida in 1996. Soon after Burton’s passing in 2015, Beatrice settled in Clearwater, where she would live out the remainder of her days.
Beatrice was known for her quiet sense of humor, her confidence, and love for her family and all people. A true artist, she loved ceramic painting, drawing, sketching, and she kept her mind sharp with word puzzles. She was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Trinity, Florida. She will truly be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Burton G. Spandonis and her parents James P. and Marie Kesson.
