Barbara Wudte's Obituary
Barbara passed away with family at her side on May 20, 2026, at her home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was 87 years old. She was married to Bill Wudte for 50 years when he passed over a decade ago. Born and raised in Astoria, New York, they later moved to Hicksville, New York, to grow and raise their family, Linda, Billy and Laura (deceased). After retirement they moved to the Poconos before settling into Florida almost 30 years ago.
Barbara adored being Grammy to Heather, Jenni and Kiana and loved son-in-law Tommy Kramer, daughter-in-law Dianne and grandson-in-law Brad Bredbenner. She proudly was recently promoted to great-grandma GG to baby Jasmine.
Aside from taking care of her family, Barbara enjoyed Mah Jongg, reading, word search puzzles, and all types of crafts. If at a casino, you could find her planted in front of a slot machine or when at home, she loved slots on her iPad. Her motto in life was to "put on your big girl panties and deal with it" when she faced many of life's trials. She was such a strong woman who had a quick sense of humor and will be missed every single day.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a charity she gave to monthly, at https://t2t.org
