Barbara Slawiak's Obituary
Barbara Gay Slawiak, 77, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024. She was born on May 13, 1946, in Tampa, FL, to the late Edward and Exsine Nipper. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Barbara was a strong and courageous woman who worked as an arson and fraud investigator for several years. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile that brightened up any room. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and would wave goodbye with her signature gesture.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Hurt. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard “Skip” Slawiak; her sons, Eric Slawiak (Stacey) and Michael Slawiak; her brother, John Thomas "Tommy" Nipper; her sister, Theresa "Terri" Fonte (Bodie); her nieces, Karlee Nipper, Tiffany (Jerod), Brittany (George), and Shannon Vera (Robert); and her grandchildren, Chaz, Jaelyn, and Skylar Slawiak.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens, followed by a graveside service.
