Arlene Cohen's Obituary
Arlene May Cohen, 95, left us on April 15, 2017, at her home where she resided with her Granddaughter Michele and Grandson-in-law Eric Fasnacht in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Arlene was born March 12, 1922, in Kansas City, Missouri to Harry and Ella Fiscus. She left home at the young age of 14 to pursue a dancing career. She worked in numerous dance troupes including the USO and was a Roxyette chorus girl at the Roxy Theater in NYC. Working in a show at the Club Charles in Baltimore Maryland she met and married Norman “Hutty” Gurwitz. Mrs. Cohen then took the role of being a mother and homemaker.
Her interests included family, theater, and travel. She loved all animals but favored cats. Her beauty, personality, and smile enlightened any given moment.
Mrs. Cohen is survived by her 3 children Debbie Benaderet, Valerie Blickenstaff and Alan Gurwitz and her 5 grandchildren and 9 grandchildren.
