I knew Ariel & his family during 4-H club back in the 80's! He always had a smile on his face and it seemed to be his mission in life to make everyone laugh, which he did well!! Those of us who knew him were blessed to say we did! Dr. Barlin, Rosanna, Napoleon & Renee my thoughts and prayers go out to you all!

Ariel and I met as young 4-Her's back in the 80's. He never met a stranger, was quick to introduce himself and we have remained friends since. Ariel had a profound impact on everyone whose lives he touched. He had the most vivacious and magnetic personality that is evidenced by the long link of friends and family he leaves behind. Many thanks to his family for sharing this bright light of love and joy with all of us! May your memories and ours bring comfort to you as Ariel lives on through each of us. Much love and heartfelt prayers for peace and solace to the Matucan family -- Mary F. Ussery
Ariel "fired" me often he was so funny. I fell off of his lap one night but of course I said he pushed me. It was a 10 year running joke...my Sincerest Condolences to his family.
Ariel was a friend of rare character and cheer. He immensely added to the enjoyment of high school physics; and, after high school, I discovered how thoughtful he was when one night he found out that I had never had lobster. After my work was over at midnight, he swooped me a a friend to his house and was determined to cook some for us. We had no idea what we were doing and boiled them for 45 minutes to make sure they were done...we laughed so hard when we discovered how bad off we had been. Later in life, be called me whenever he could hear me on the air from Tampa to razz me for playing lame music or give me his list of new favorites to play on WJAD...Ariel sure made life more fun...his presence here will be missed so very much. I'll always be grateful for the laughs, hugs, and memories; and he'll always be in our hearts!
Every memory I have of Ariel he was smiling, laughing, and cracking jokes. My heart goes out to all of you during this time. I hope all the wonderful comments and memories by all those who loved Ariel brings you all comfort during this difficult time.
