Antonio Rodriguez Jr's Obituary
On Wednseday July 19th, Antonio Rodriguez Jr passed away peacefully at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY, he joined the US Marine Corp after high school. He attended John Jay College of Law and Criminal Justice while protecting and serving as an NYPD officer. Along the way, he married the love of his life, Rosemarie Rodriguez and had their first daughter. He later joined the Drug Enforcement Administration and spent 26 years travelling domestically, and abroad, enforcing federal drug law at every level of the administration, from undercover agent to supervisory roles. In the meantime, the family grew to include two daughters and a few dogs. He later retired from the DEA and dedicated another fourteen years to students at a magnet criminal justice program at a Tampa high school. By the time his second retirement came around, the family had grown to include a few son-in-laws and grandkids. He was the #1 grandpa, never missing a game, dance or award ceremony. Always calm in stressful situations, he was never far and always ready to support his family and friends through life's challenges. He leaves behind his wife of 51 yrs, Rosemarie Rodriguez, his two daughters, Tara and Rosie as well as his three grandchildren, Enrique, Sofia, and Lillian. Visitation will begin at 5pm on Monday, July 24th with funeral services the next morning on Tuesday, July 25th at 11:00am. Both services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida.
