Anthony M. Leon's Obituary
Anthony M. Leon was born on December 28, 1930 and passed away on March 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents (Liva and Sam), siblings (Virginia and Delphine), beloved wife Loretta and dear son Mark. He is survived by his four children, Tony, Steve, Vicki, and Valerie; grandchildren Alex and Sam Leon (Steve) Andrew and Adam Repp (Vicki), Alex and Grace Criminger ((Valerie), and April Salas (Mark); great grandchildren Keaton and Nolan Repp (Adam) and Bella (Mark). He is also survived by his nieces Mary, Teri and Michele and their brother Joe (Virginia), as well as Cathy Rutledge (her brother Frank is deceased) (Delphine). Due to present conditions for the coronavirus, there will not be a funeral service.
“Tony” was born and raised in Chicago, the son of Sam and Liva. Music was his passion as a young man. He formed the first swing band at Lane Technical High School in Chicago where he played saxophone and clarinet. He worked at many jobs and found success as a salesman due to his social personality and hard work. He always wore a white shirt and tie, even when driving a truck and told his sons “dress as if you are already the boss.” He was an avid golfer and fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and always being up for a good time.
