Our dear Grandma Anne- We will miss you so much life will be so different without you!
You and the Chief did so much for us from our wedding at station 2 to giving us such great family memories with your whole family. David always felt like a son to you and the chief even before I came along 26 years ago. We helped each other thru some terrible times even if nothing was said and we just needed hugs and support. I will miss our almost daily talks and am so glad you were able to make that one last trip to NC and spend two weeks with us. It gives me such comfort to know you were at peace here as I remember you telling me you never stay anywhere more than a week, even Atlanta, without feeling the need to get home, but that for the first time you didn't feel that way.
It was amazing how many hours we spent out on that porch in the rocking chairs and never ran out of things to say. Talking about happiness, regrets, and dreams, not to mention what to do about present concerns, things that were important to us including each other. I know you are happy in heaven with the Chief and Kristin, and I bet you have a riding lawnmower with as much grass as you want to cut! We know how much you loved your lawnmower!
