Anna Popescu's Obituary
Popescu, Anna, 96, passed in New Port Richey FL on the 6th of July, 2019.
Born on December 6, 1922 in Campbell, Ohio to parents Nicholas and Maria Devan, she was one of six children. When she was six months old, she relocated with her mother to Romania.
She married Victor Popescu in 1944 at the end of WWII and had two children, Victor and Lucian. In 1957, at the height of the cold war, through the help of US congressman Michael Kirwan, she managed to migrate back to the US along with her family and settled in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
In the mid 1980s Anna and her husband retired to the New Port Richey, Florida area. Anna Popescu was a member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
