Angelique Jurkowski's Obituary
Angelique “Kiki” Jurkowski passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 28. She was born in Dekalb, IL on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1996, to Christopher Jurkowski and Patricia Mavrakis. She was the second of five siblings, with Alexandra, Anastacia, Ariyanna, and Theodore. In a chance and bittersweet symmetry, she celebrated her “golden” 28th birthday on Thanksgiving Day of this year.
Kiki moved to Florida with her family at a young age, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 2015 then went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Women and Gender Studies in 2018. After graduating from college, she relocated to Houston, TX for four years before moving back to Florida. She worked in the hospitality industry, holding positions at AMC Theaters, Another Broken Egg, and Hard Rock.
Outside of school and work, Kiki enjoyed doing hair and makeup, decorating, and singing. She listened to murder mystery podcasts and was interested in astrology. She loved tattoos and cooking, especially putting together charcuterie boards. She was an outgoing person, attending concerts and sporting events with her family and friends. Ever the life of the party, she could always be counted on to dress up and participate in themed festivities.
Kiki was a selfless person, a true giver, who always stood up for others and for the right thing. She went out of her way to make others feel good and look good. She will be remembered for her smile, her beautiful singing voice, and her positive and forgiving spirit.
Kiki is survived by her mother Patricia, father Christopher, and stepfather Milton; her siblings Alex, Anastacia, Ariyanna, and Theo; and her grandmother Martha and yiayia Angela. She was preceded in death by her pappou John and her grandfather Jay.
