My heart goes out to my dear friend, Maria and her family for the loss of Andrea Acquafredda. He will be missed so much. I shared some life experiences with Maria for 5 amazing years when I lived in FL. We worked together and grew very close together with our kids. And in those years I was blessed to know Mr. Acquafredda. He would always prepare food for our visits with his wife and he was proud of the food he grew for us to enjoy. My girls were very young at the time and he would take them into the backyard and let them pick apples and eggplants. I remember the apples were so small and the eggplants were lavender, I had never seen these like this before. I thought they weren’t ready for picking. My daughter said “mom, just taste them!”. And till this day these have been the best apples and eggplants I’ve ever had! My daughters loved visiting them and so did I. There was a sense of peace when we visited, like we were at home with my own parents back in NY. He touched our hearts with his warmth and sharing ways. I am blessed to have known such an amazing heart and I will never forget him.
