Alma C. DiLucia's Obituary
Alma C. DiLucia, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1930, in Vandergrift, Pa. to Martin and Margaret Flaherty. She married John D. DiLucia on September 26, 1953 and remained a devoted loving wife for 57 years before his passing in 2010. Alma and John built their family with 3 children, and followed throughout the years by their 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Alma is survived by her three children: Debbra Lizama (Son-in-Law, Gus), Dean Dilucia and Darlene Jones (the Late, Son-in-Law, Wayne). She was a cherished grandmother to her six grandchildren: Pamela Mooney, Josh Schall, Matthew and Brooke Jones, and (the Late Jason Sulinski and Ricky Friend). Her legacy continued with her nine great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Kaylee and Aubree Mooney, O’Shea, Brady and Jay Sulinski, Jade and Ashton Schall and Jakob Jones. Alma was also Blessed with two great-great grandchildren: Tristian and Kia Fields. She was also predeceased by her brothers: Robert (Bob), Richard (Ritchie), Martin Jr. (Bucko) Flaherty and her sister Ruth Sobczak.
Alma spent most of her life in West Mifflin, Pa., before moving to Tampa, Fl, 35 years ago. She enjoyed attending Tampa Bay Lightning games, embarking on Disney Cruises, vacationing near and far, going to Bingo and dining at the Melting Pot. Alma also enjoyed drawing, coloring and playing games with her family. Her passion for cooking and baking was something she loved to do for her family.
To know Alma was to love her, she was known for her infectious personality and humor. She will be remembered by all who knew her as the most loving, caring, and giving person you could ever meet and for always being there for her family. Though she may have left this world, her legacy of love, joy and memories will remain forever in our hearts.
Alma will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her.
