Allan Navarro's Obituary
Allan P. Navarro, 62, died 23rd December 2018 at St Joseph's Hospital North in Lutz, Florida after a long illness and physical complications. His Wake and Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, 3rd January, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr. Trinity, FL 34655. Liturgy of the Mass will be held on Saturday, 5th of January, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Navarro was born on April 9. 1956 in Cebu, Philippines, to Lucia and Antonio Navarro, Sr. He gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance through sports scholarship playing basketball and coaching. He went on to play in national basketball association and commercial league. He married Marilyn Alborez and raised 3 children and immigrated to the US. Here he continued his passion for basketball, played in local community sports league, and encourage the young generation to love the game.
His family paid this tribute to him, “Allan was one of the funniest persons you could ever meet; he easily engaged people in conversation and befriended a lot of people with his loquacious demeanor. His love for sports was unquenchable and he will be sorely missed.”
Mr. Navarro is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and 3 children, Vanessa, Archie, Scottie and his 3 siblings, Susan N. Bilbao, Antonio, Jr., and Marilou.
