Adele Burke's Obituary
Adele Andresen Burke died January 1, 2018 in Hudson Florida. She was born the second child of Arthur and Alice Andresen on June 21, 1929 in Riverside, Illinois. She attended grade school in Riverside and graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1947. She went to work at Public Service Electric Company until her marriage to Glen Strecker, when they moved to LaGrange, Illinois. They had five children during their 18-year marriage which ended in 1968.
She was then employed by Amphenol Connector Division where she met her second husband Harry Butkiewicz. They retired to Port Richey Florida where she was involved in various activities at her church and volunteered at a nursing home. They were married for 32 years until his death in 2002.
In 2008 she married Francis Burke, renewing an old friendship from 1945. He was from Montana, so they became snow birds – summering in Montana and wintering in Florida. Frank passed away in January 2017.
Adele is survived by four children: Laura Hughes, David (Amelia) Strecker, Willian (Deborah) Strecker, and Robert Strecker. She is preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Bloom. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
