Abraham Chacko's Obituary
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
Abraham “Shabu” Chacko, born on December 29, 1971, in Chittar, Kerala, India, was the
beloved son of the late Mr. C.J. Chacko and Mrs. Rachel Chacko of Charivuparambil
House. He was the middle child of three siblings.
Shabu earned his pharmacy degree from NGSM and worked in India for three years.
He then spent nine years working in Muscat, Oman, before moving to the United States, where he lived and worked for the past 20 years.
In 2000, he married Priya in holy matrimony. They shared 25 beautiful years of
marriage, filled with countless memories and cherished devotion. Together, they were
blessed with two children: Alen Jaks Abraham and Evaan Jakes Abraham. In 2006, the
Abraham family settled in Middle Tennessee, where they spent a decade. Shabu worked as a pharmacy manager at Kroger, where he consistently excelled and exceeded expectations. In 2017, the family moved to the greater Tampa area.
Shabu instilled in his family a strong work ethic and made many sacrifices to ensure
they had a secure and comfortable life. He was joyful, humorous, and full of love. He
encouraged his children to pursue their passions and ensured they always felt loved,
protected, and supported. He was also a source of encouragement and warmth to
those around him—a faithful, devoted husband and a brilliant, compassionate man.
Even during his hospitalization, just prior to his transfer to the ICU, Shabu asked for his laptop so he could continue studying for another state licensure exam—an example of his lifelong commitment to learning and excellence.
He loved dining at Indian restaurants, though nothing compared to his wife’s
cooking—his favorite dish was fish curry. He had a deep affection for Malayalam movies and enjoyed watching cricket, soccer, and the news. Above all, he treasured
time with his family and his cat, Bandit.
In his final year, Shabu grew especially close to God. He prayed daily with his family
and eagerly sought to understand the word of God more deeply. His faith became a
profound source of peace and strength.
We will miss Shabu deeply, but his love, laughter, and legacy will live forever in the
hearts of his friends and family, especially his beloved wife, Priya, and his sons, Alen
and Evaan
Psalm 23:4
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
1 Corinthians 15:52
“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”
This is our Hope. We will see our beloved Shabu on the Day of Rapture and spend the Eternity together with Jesus Christ. Amen.
