Abigail Nicole Santiago's Obituary
Abigail Nicole Santiago, a lifelong resident of Tampa Bay, was born at Tampa General Hospital on October 4, 2000, and passed away at 19 years young on January10, 2020.
She touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, happy girl, the light of our lives and the star of our hearts and leaves us smiling through our tears. She was joy personified.
Abbie is survived by her loving mother Blenda Santiago and stepfather Wilson Casiano; her father Jaime Santiago; and her three sisters and two brothers-in-law Blanca (Alexis) Lopez, Joanne Rivera (Brendon Greenway) and Krystal Santiago; two nieces Camila and Emilia Lopez; her many aunts, uncles, cousins; and her grandparents Rosa Cepeda and Victor Santiago. Abbie was predeceased by her maternal great-grandparents Carmen Ortiz and Leonardo Cepeda, and her paternal great-grandmother Berta Barreto.
Abbie loved so many and was loved by so many more. She had an energy that with even just one encounter with her, you would remember her for life. She had a love for reading, classical instrumental music, cooking, photography, hiking, watching television, visiting museums and loved to travel. She was a proud graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School where she dedicated herself to excelling in their International Baccalaureate Program and went on to study at the University of North Florida.
Abbie will always be remembered for her gentleness, grace, and kindness toward others. She always seemed to look out after others and would put others before herself. If you knew her well or barely at all, she always left her indelible mark on all she encountered.
At this time, we must come together in friendship and love for Abbie’s sake. Abbie would have wanted it that way.
