    Juanita M. Martin

    February 3, 1937 - September 24, 2020

Juanita Cantrell Martin Juanita M. Martin 83 of Lutz, Fl., formerly of Brunswick, Ohio passed away on September 24, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 3, 1937 in Lester, WV. to Leonard W. and Lula V. (Hill) Birchfield, both deceased. She is survived by her sons; Joseph (Helen) Cantrell, Robert (Yolanda), James (Nina), and her best friend in life, her daughter Sharon R. Cantrell. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren who absolutely adored her. Also surviving are her brothers Kermit Wilson. and, James Irvin Birchfield, and her sister Freda (Albert) Smith. She is also survived by far too many to mention here, adopted daughters and sons who became family throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her sister Francis (Madge) Munn, the father of her children Robert A. Cantrell, and her husband of 30 years, James E. Martin. Both of which who became close friends. And her recently deceased son-in-law, Jeff Hoffman. She was also preceded in death by her two favorite children of all time, Pokko and Neeko. She will be incredibly missed by her family and friends. Juanita was the “Neighborhood Mom” she was ‘Mom’ to everyone. She was always there to offer advice and counsel, or to just tell you “You ain’t right!”. She was also known as the “Christmas Lady” for her love of the holiday season. She was loyal, she was spirited, and on many occasions the absolute life of the party. She loved to dance, and she was without a doubt, a great Mother, and a true American Patriot who loved her country. She was, as many people have said “Juan of a Kind”. On Saturday October 3, 2020, a “Life Celebration” will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens www.trinitymemorial.com for family and friends. A viewing will begin at Noon, with funeral services at 1:00pm, internment immediately afterwards. The family asks that in her honor a donation be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate
