David L Shores

November 2, 1944 - January 23, 2022

Shores, David L, 77, of New Port Richey, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022 at the Rucki Hospice Care Center. David was born on November 2, 1944 in Trenton, Michigan. He is the son of the late Loren and Reba Shores. David was a graduate of Taylor Center High School in 1962. David started working at 19 and retired after 33 years as a General Foreman for Ford Motor Steel Division. He was also a Freemason since 1972 and led for one full year as a Worshipful Master-Mason. David found his solace in the outdoors. Over the years he loved to golf, do woodworking, go boating, motorcycle riding, and traveling. He also was a history buff who loved to read and an animal lover. David is remembered as a strong-willed man and grateful as a heart transplant recipient 25 years ago. David is predeceased by his grandson, Jack Shores; brother, Leland Shores; sister, Eileen LaBelle and his son-in-law, Todd Judd. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Shores; daughter, Kimberly Judd; son, Mark Shores; grandchildren, Justin Judd, Jayme (Brad) Spencer, Caitlin Shores, Hannah Shores and Caroline Shores; and proud uncle to numerous nephews and a niece. A memorial service is to take place for David on June 4, 2022, at Taylor Center Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan.
