David R. Long, 55 of New Port Richey, FL passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center, Trinity, FL. David was born Aug. 19, 1966 to Lester and Janet Long in Pompton Plains, NJ. He moved to Florida in 1990 where he currently resided in New Port Richey. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a kind hearted selfless man who everyone that knew him loved him. He especially loved his grandchildren. David enjoyed the simple things in life, he enjoyed just relaxing, going fishing and spending time with his wife, son and grand kids. David was a Computer Operator by trade for over 30 + years. He was currently employed with the City of St. Pete, Florida. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Long, his parents, Lester and Janet Long; and his brother, John Long. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Teresa D. Long, his son Timothy (Dannielle); 2 grandchildren, Milla & Nikolai of Hinsdale N.H.; brother, Lester A. Long, 2 sisters, June (Edward) Mulligan of New Jersey, And Susan (Craig) Chernack, several nephews, and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Trinity Medical Center that took care of him during his sickness. No services planned at this time. Trinity Funeral Home of Trinity, FL in charge of arrangements & cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
