December 15, 1933 - January 17, 2021
Andrew V. Kovacs, Jr. was born on December 15th, 1933 in Easton, PA. He passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 17th, 2021. He was the son of Andrew and Helen Kovacs and brother to John, Maryann, Stephen, and Patricia. He was raised on the Franklin Hill Road family farm in Pennsylvania and was a farm boy through and through. Andrew, aka Andy, met the love of his life Arline at a roller rink in the spring of 1957. He was 23 and she was 19. They quickly fell in love and were married that fall. They later moved to Belvidere, NJ to raise their family. He was the beloved father to their 4 children: Michelle, Tammy, Sheila and Andrew and devoted poppy to their 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Andrew was a Senior Chemical Operator at Roche Pharmaceuticals for 26 years and was commended regularly for his perfect attendance. Their loving marriage spanned 63 years. Andy and Arline retired to New Port Richey, FL in 1997. They enjoyed spending time with their family; traveling; cruising and visiting Disney, Sea World and Busch Gardens often. They also enjoyed socializing with friends at the YMCA and dining with their dear friends, Phil, Glenda, Roger, and Wanda. Andy was a humble man who loved John Deere tractors, all things trains and Elvis Presley. He was an avid gardener with an exceptional green thumb and all who knew him knew that Goofy was his favorite Disney character. His smile was infectious and always made everything better! He is survived by his adoring wife Arline (nee Gulick), brother Steve, sister Patricia and sister-in-law Charlene with whom he shared a close bond. He leaves behind his 4 children and 10 grandchildren: Michelle Paulos (Paul) and her children, Dennis, Daniel, Amanda, and Grace; Tammy Wormuth (Deforest) and her children, Nichole and Andrew, Sheila Kovacs and her children, Victoria and Alexander; Andrew D. Kovacs and his children, Noah and Autumn. He was blessed with 6 great grandchildren: Alexander, Claire, Natalia, Matthew, Annabelle and Reylyn. He was reunited in heaven with his parents, brother John, sister Maryann and sister-in-law Jeri Lynn. We are heartbroken at the loss of such a great man, husband, father, poppy and friend and will continue to honor his life for the rest of ours. “Your memory is my keepsake, with which we’ll never part, God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart.” Interment is private and due to the pandemic, there will be no service at this time.
