Mike was our neighbor on Bay Tide Ct, Land O Lakes, and always had a great outlook and attitude towars life. Mike talked to everyone, including our dog, Bama, and she loved him too. Everytime she saw him, she had to go and give him kisses. He will be missed by the Schweinsberg's. Mike made the neighborhood a great place to live. RIP 🙏
Mike, brother Mark and I were alter boys at Christ The King catholic church in Greenup Illinois. We loved to play football at recess on Saturday catechism class and in the yard at the McNeely's home. We rode to Branson Mo. with father Schertman on a Bible class vacation in his new 1973 Pontiac Grand Am. Father was showing us how the car would go up and down the hills in Mo. without loosing or gaining speed at 80 miles an hour. All of us had so much fun on that trip. What I will remember the most about Mike was his kind calm demeanor never judging anyone and living his life like Jesus would want him to.
Michael, or Mike as I knew him, was a classmate and a great guy. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. Always nice and kind; he was a wonderful person and lifelong friend. Mike and Mary Jo always came to our class reunions, and future reunions won’t be the same without them there. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary Jo and the family as they navigate life without Mike. May God grant them peace and comfort.
We were saddened to hear of Michael’s sudden passing. Our condolences to MJ and family members. Even though we only knew Michael for a few short years after moving to Florida, we considered him to be a true friend and a great person to know and associate with. Michael was a kind, considerate and great neighbor. Can’t thank him enough for all the times he helped me. He was the best Cub fan I know . ⚾️⚾️. We all miss you so much.
