Rick and Susan were Georgia Bulldog fans and we were Florida Gator fans. One Saturday, obviously during the Cocktail Party, Susan and Rick met us in the Cul De Dac for a shot. It didn’t matter who was winning or losing, it was about friendship. From that day forward we met every Saturday during the Florida Georgia football game to share a shot with friends. Each year we would alternate who made the shots. Rick never disappointed. He always came to the cul de sac with the crème de la creme of shots. He always wanted to prove his shots were better than our shots….they were 😉. We have missed those Saturday shots since they left the cul de sac but we still continued to text each other “cheers” during those Saturdays.
Rick was the type of guy that would do anything for anyone. He has helped me with so many projects around my house. I will always remember his beautiful smile and joking nature. He loved his Mich Ultra and a good talk…he never ever wanted to stop enjoying life. I will miss him dearly. His smile, lawn truck and conversation will be missed by many. I saw his truck driving down Hwy 41 last week and it made me feel sad…yet happy to see his truck and know someone was continuing the work he loved. Good job to the Blaylock and Smith family for continuing his legacy. You are always in our hearts and prayers 🙏🏻🥺❤️🖤🩶💙🧡🤍
