Joseph Padula Sr.

Padula, Sr. Joseph (Joe) 83. A resident of Land O' Lakes, Fl. formally of Coventry, RI passed away June 2, 2022 at home surrounded by the love and care f his wife, children, daughter-in-law, and son in laws. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Koszela) Padula for 57 years, a wonderful father to his 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Born and raised in West Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph Padula and Mary (Szarek) Padula. Joe was a lifetime truckdriver throughout his career, working for Bendix/Fram, a self-employed trucker and Parente's Oil. Joe received numerous awards for driver of the year, safe driving, and accident-free driving. He was the hardest working devoted trucker and had a great respect for all truckers friending thousands along the way. Joe was always willing to help anyone with anything. Joe had a love for hunting, fishing, cars, motors, and enjoyed boating with his family and friends. He was quite the character, a true people person, never failing to make people laugh. Joe was the loving father of Robin Berghorn of North Kingstown, RI, Brenda Volante and Dean of North Providence, RI, Joseph Jr. and Brooke Padula of South Venice, FL, Julie Cote and Donald of Coventry, RI, and Karen Capen of Land O'Lakes, FL. He was the grandfather of Tarah Berghorn, Lindsay Ray, Michael Chenault, Joseph Padula III, Justin Padula, AJ Capen, Dalanie WIlliams, Healther Capen and Parker Padula. He was the great grandfather of 7. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and aunts. There will be a service on June 29, 2022 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Collier Pkwy, Land O' Lakes followed by a celebration of his life at Stone Water Grill 4422 Land O' Lakes Blvd, Land O' Lakes, FL.
