    July 5, 1939 - November 29, 2021

    Link to live stream; https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1638336008779378 John Gregoretti, 82, of Odessa, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, November 29, 2021. Born July 5, 1939, in Alcamo, Sicily, Italy, to Amalia Farneti Gregoretti and Frederico Gregoretti, he immigrated to the US with his mother when he was 16 years old. They arrived in New York City on June 9, 1955, on the S/S Andrea Doria. He and Maria Tranchina married on December 29, 1979. Prior to retiring in 1986, John was employed at Anheuser Busch Brewing Company in Baldwinsville, NY, as a Technical Machine Mechanic for more than 25 years. He previously worked at Schlitz Brewing Company in Syracuse, NY, and Schaefer Beer Brewery. John was a member of the Teamsters Union. John was an avid soccer player having played semi-professional in New York. He loved watching hockey and was a season ticket holder for the Syracuse Crunch, a minor league affiliate for the Tampa Bay Lightning. John enjoyed making wine and grappa in his shed-house. He and Maria enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. John was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lutz, FL. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Maria Gregoretti of Odessa, FL; his children: John Albero of Astoria, NY; Anthony Albero (Lisa) of Farmingdale, NY; Salvatore Albero (Jamie) of Odessa, FL; Diane Bell (Kenneth) of Greenville, SC and Joseph Albero (Jodi) of Baldwinsville, NY; his grandchildren: Julia Albero, Astoria, NY; Lauren Cassella and Kristen Cassella, Massapequa, NY and Anthony Albero, Farmingdale, NY; Austin Bell and Dylan Bell, Greenville, SC; Stephanie Albero and Luke Albero, Odessa, FL; Jada Albero and Jace Albero, Baldwinsville, NY. He is preceded in death by his mother, Amalia Farneti Gregoretti (2007) his father, Frederico Gregoretti, and his son John A. Gregoretti (2003). Services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Donations may also be made by telephone at 1(800) 478-5833.
