    Jayne Steiner

    September 30, 1951 - December 25, 2021

Our beloved sister and dear friend, Jayne Steiner-Kanak passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 25th, 2021, at her home in Hudson, FL. Jayne was a Registered Nurse by training and dedicated her 35-year career to serving patients in both clinical and administrative capacities. She held executive roles with large, publicly-traded health corporations such as Genesis and NovaCare Rehabilitation, as well as leading a private, home health joint venture company with multi-state operations as Chief Operating Officer. She was often asked to serve as a mentor for new managers, teaching them how to deliver clinical quality and financial expectations for a successful healthcare operation. However, her passion was delivering excellence in every opportunity she was given. She continued to maintain an active nursing license providing bedside care and consulting services until her retirement in 2016. Survived by her sister, Kathy Fletcher-Morgan (Dennis) Hyde Park, NY, brother George Fletcher (Lisa) Middlegrove, NY, brother Michael Fletcher (Edna) New Port Richey, FL, and her beloved fur-babies Hercules, Mindy-Lou, Jesse, and Dandelion. Preceded in death by husbands William Steiner and Michael Kanak, parents Tex Fletcher and Ada Mae Fletcher, and brother Robert Fletcher. Jayne was loved by her family, dear friends, and all whose paths she crossed. She was always there to encourage and cheer on those around her and provide comfort to those in need. She will be sorely missed. "You raised us up to more than we could be"
