November 3, 1940 - March 15, 2021
Georgia Lea Clemens, 80, of sunny Trinity, Florida, passed away on March 15, surrounded by her family. Georgia, born on November 3, 1940 in Pittsburgh,Pa. immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Georgia loved playing scrabble, reading, and nature, especially her sanctuary in her backyard where she loved feeding the whistling ducks or admiring the sandhill cranes when they would return to visit. Georgia loved to dance and loved music. Her favorite song was “September Song” because that was her and her husbands song. On Sept. 25, 1962, she married Carl and the two were inseparable from that point on. They initially called home in Warren, Ohio and moved around throughout the years eventually settling down and retiring from her successful career in Real Estate in Trinity, Florida. Georgia and Carl were married for over 58 years and they deeply loved, cherished and supported each other. They did many things together including building their very first home and they stayed very active with their home projects, and remodeling. However, most enjoyable was her gardening and maintaining the backyard sanctuary. Georgia and Carl had two children, Michelle and Kirt, 3 stepchildren, Carl III, Craig, and Carla and 9 grandchildren. Georgia was passionate about her family and was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Georgia, a value she instilled in all those around her. She was a very strong woman and will be remembered best for her outspoken personality and her favorite expression of joy “BRAVO”. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Georgia was predeceased by her mother . She is survived by her husband, her sister Carol, her two children, 3 step children, and nine grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Georgia’s name to the American Cancer Society or The Wildlife foundation. A private Celebration of Life will be held at their home on April 10, 2021 where her family will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember a wonderful person who is greatly missed.
