Genevieve Hopper

Genevieve M. Hopper, 96, of New Port Richey, FL, sadly passed away on May 25, 2022 at her home in New Port Richey, FL. Genevieve was predeceased by her husband, Edward Hopper; daughter, Dale Hopper and is survived by her four living children; Karen Meunier, Edward Hopper Jr., Deborah Keller, and John Hopper and her seven grandchildren; Joseph Meunier II, Christian Ramsey, Gina Thompson, Shawn Ramsey, Evelyn Hopper, Daniel Hopper, and Caitlynn Hopper and five great-grandchildren; Jordan Meunier, Joseph Meunier III, Riley Thompson, Miller Thompson, and Isabella Chom. Genevieve was 100% Italian, born on June 30, 1925 in Spring Valley, NY. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of her community. She was a classy, sharp-witted lady who was an amazing mom and grandma who gave the best advice. She loved to eat out with her family and friends and was an avid reader, who loved to travel. One of her passions was fashion and she loved to shop and dress well. She amazed us by being a very independent woman up until her last days, she took care of herself for 44 years after her husband’s untimely death. Her focus was on her family and friends and trying to spend as much quality time with them. She was an active member of her church, St. Thomas Aquinas on Old County Rd 54. She was the matriarch and rock of our family, who everyone counted on. She will be dearly missed and her memories will live on forever. We are in the process of arranging her memorial service and will announce the details soon.
