It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Rene Duquette, 71, of Trinity. He passed away on February 6, 2022 from heart failure at the Medical Center of Trinity and was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his death. Donald was born on December 28, 1950 in Plattsburgh, New York. He is the son of the late Rene and Raymonde (Gagnon) Duquette of Rouses Point, NY. Donald graduated from the University of Albany with a degree in Business and went on to get his Master's Degree. He specialized in Information Technology and worked as a speciailized contractor for many large companies over the years including General Electric, Burger King Corporate, Coca - Cola, and Cigna. He had so many hobbies and interests including running, biking, walking, tennis, boating and golf. Not only did he have interest in these hobbies but he got immense joy out of doing these hobbies with his family and loved ones. Donald was best known for being the first one to celebrate a birthday or offer a helping hand. Donald was the loving father of Debbie (Deskins), Nicole, and Julie (Flynn) who he loved with all of his being. He also is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Morales Lopez Duquette; his son-in-law Bobby (Deskins), as well as his three Grandbabies, Ava, Cameron and Mason. His love and devotion to spending time with his grandchildren was truly the center of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob & Cindy Duquette (Peru, NY), Beverly and Larry Sokol (Marlborough, MA) and brother in law, Ron Rabideau (Arizona). Donald is preceded in death by his parents and sister Madeleine Rabideau. All family and friends are welcome to honor Donald's lifelong commitment to his family by joining us for a gathering on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 PM with a celebration of life memorial service immediately following at 2:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655. The family will also be attending mass at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Sunday, February 20,2022 at 9am and will say a prayer together in his honor after mass. Donald was a dedicated blood donor. There is a blood drive at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on February 20th from 7:30am-1pm.
