Cleveland A Bennett
April 2, 1936 - March 26, 2022
On March 26, 2022, the Lord called our beloved Cleveland Ajasper Bennett to his heavenly home after a long illness. He passed away peacefully at home where he was surrounded by the same love he freely gave. Cleveland was born the second of nine children in Clarendon, Jamaica on April 2, 1936, to the late Vera and Felix Bennett. At the age of 19, he left home to explore England, but disliked living there. Cleveland later returned to Jamaica before starting his next exploration to New York City where he studied Architecture and met the love of his life. He utilized his Architecture skills to work on the World Trade Center. After leaving that project, he started his own company called CB’s Home Improvement. On June 22, 1974, Cleveland was united in holy matrimony to Joycelyn Barnes. They shared a union that lasted 48 loving years. He was a kind and loving Christian who enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening, and listening to music. Cleveland will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. His memory will forever be remembered and cherished by his loving wife Joycelyn Bennett; one stepson, Ian; six sisters, Virginia, Roslyn, Sadie, Doreen, Annie and Norma; two brothers, Leroy and Jeff; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and close friends.
