Charles F. Hatch of Center Line, Michigan passed away February 1, 2020 with his Daughter Nancy by his side in Trinity, Florida. He was born to the late Anna Mae (Cavey) and John H. Hatch, March 24, 1932 in North Pownal, Vermont. Charles graduated from Lincoln High School (Warren, MI) in June, 1950. He married the late June Audrey Anderson on August 22, 1952 in Warren, MI, and they lived together in Center Line, MI for 40 years before relocating to Caseville, MI; then to Trinity, FL. Charles is survived by his Sister Janet (Camacho), Brother Edward Hatch, Brother George Hatch and two children: Nancy Primovic (Jim) of Trinity, FL and Hugh Hatch (Julie) of Warren, MI. He is also survived by five Grandchildren [Marilyn J. Primovic, W. Thomas Roschek III, Krista (Roschek) Nesbit (Joel), Natalie Hatch-Holder (Andrew) and Andrea (Hatch) Logie (Nicholas)] and three Great Granddaughters [Reagan Nesbit, Mikaela Logie and Charlie June Hatch-Holder]. Charles was predeceased by his daughter Pattie Roschek (W. Thomas II) in September, 1993. Charles earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Normal (Eastern Michigan University), where he played football and baseball. He also earned his master’s degree in education from Wayne State University. His career began as a draftsman at General Motors in Warren, MI. Thereafter, he accepted a position as a drafting teacher at East Detroit High School, and then accepted a drafting teacher position (as well as assistant varsity football and varsity baseball coach) at Center Line High School. He taught night classes in drafting at Wayne State University and the first all-female drafting class at CLHS in the early 1960’s. He became an assistant principal at Center Line High School; a principal at Busch Junior High School and then Wolfe Middle School. The Wolfe Middle School upgraded media center was named the “Charles F. Hatch Media Center” in his honor. He was a member of the Center Line Lions Club and Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. He retired in June, 1992 from the Center Line School District after (36) years of dedicated service. He enjoyed running, sailing, golfing and playing softball. He especially enjoyed his time with his Wife, Children and Grandchildren at the lake in Caseville, MI. A Committal Service will take place at 10 a.m. on June 6, 2020, in the “Temple of Memories” mausoleum at the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI. Charles requested donations be made to “Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church” (Warren, MI) in lieu of sending flowers.
