Jinal Patel

Jinal was in two of my classes at USF. I was the teacher and she was one of my students. The amazing thing was that we all got to learn from her. She had a giving, loving spirit. She was already doing so much in the world, making a difference, volunteering, working with her family, and had big plans to do more. I am heartbroken for you all who know and love her. I will end this message with words she submitted with her Communication, Culture & Community project:

"If you have the support and people with you, you can get through anything. I have that. I have my friends and family to help me. Everything seems just right. I know that everything will be alright in the end. There is always a plan. A bigger picture for everyone. Just have faith and just keep going."

My condolences to the Patel Family. Jinal was my dearest friend, she was always so kind to me, she was my first American friend here and on the first day I met her she told me if I needed anything, I should give her a call. After then we hung out a lot and I relied on her as a friend. I am deeply saddened by this. I know she is in a better place and I know her beautiful soul will remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
